Carminea × Globosa
The Tillandsia Carminea × Globosa is an attractive ornamental hybrid belonging to the Bromeliaceae family, highly valued for its striking flowering, compact size, and excellent cultivation behavior. It is an air plant that is ideal for both collectors and decoration.
This hybrid combines two highly ornamental species:
The Tillandsia Carminea, native to Brazil, stands out for its inflorescence in intense pink tones and violet flowers, as well as its elegant and balanced stature.
For its part, the Tillandsia Globosa, also native to Brazil, contributes a more rounded and compact structure, with denser leaves and a more "closed" shape, resulting in a more contained and tidy plant.
Thanks to this genetic combination, the Tillandsia Carminea × Globosa develops compact and slightly globular rosettes, with narrow, grayish-green leaves that form a highly decorative structure.
During the flowering season, generally in spring or summer, it produces an inflorescence with intense pink bracts and violet tubular flowers, inheriting the strong color contrast of the Carminea and the compact shape of the Globosa.
Its growth is moderate, and over time it produces offsets, forming small, highly ornamental clusters.
Thanks to its size, coloration, and ease of cultivation, the Tillandsia Carminea × Globosa is ideal for open terrariums, vertical gardens, or decorative mounts on wood and cork.
