Tillandsia Holm’s Twin Star × Holm’s Star Gem
The Tillandsia Holm’s Twin Star × Holm’s Star Gem is an attractive ornamental hybrid belonging to the Bromeliaceae family, highly valued for its compact size, intense coloration, and great ability to form clumps. It is an air plant ideal for both collectors and high-impact decorative displays.
This hybrid combines two outstanding selections from the Holm’s series, known for their improved color, shape, and resilience.
The Tillandsia Holm’s Twin Star, derived from the ionantha/brachycaulos group, contributes its compact structure, capacity to develop intense reddish tones, and rapid production of offsets, forming dense clumps.
For its part, the Tillandsia Holm’s Star Gem contributes even more striking coloration, slightly more open leaves, and a highly ornamental character, adding visual intensity to the hybrid.
Thanks to this genetic combination, the Tillandsia Holm’s Twin Star × Holm’s Star Gem develops compact rosettes of somewhat broad and soft leaves, which are green but can turn into very intense reddish, pink, or orange tones with proper lighting.
Its growth is rapid and it produces numerous offsets, forming dense clusters in a short time.
During the flowering season, generally in spring or summer, it intensifies its color and develops tubular violet flowers, creating a very attractive contrast.
Due to its size, color, and ease of cultivation, this hybrid is ideal for open terrariums, collections, vertical gardens, or decorative displays, making it a very striking option.
