Tillandsia Holm’s Verlesglo
The Tillandsia Holm’s Verlesglo is a striking ornamental hybrid belonging to the Bromeliaceae family, highly valued for its intense coloration, compact growth, and great ability to form clumps. It is an air plant ideal for both collectors and high-impact visual decoration.
This hybrid is part of the renowned Holm’s series, characterized by the selection of plants with better color, resistance, and ornamental behavior. Although its exact parentage is not always officially documented, it presents clear characteristics of the ionantha/brachycaulos group.
The influences of the Ionantha group provide its compact size, ability to acquire reddish tones, and ease of producing pups, while the Brachycaulos group contributes wider leaves, greater color intensity, and a more open, decorative structure.
Thanks to this genetic combination, the Tillandsia Holm’s Verlesglo develops compact rosettes with somewhat wide, soft leaves, green in color, which can transform into very intense reddish, pinkish, or orange tones under good lighting.
Its growth is rapid and it produces numerous pups, forming dense clumps in a short time.
During the flowering season, generally in spring or summer, it intensifies its coloration and develops tubular violet flowers, creating a very attractive contrast.
Thanks to its color, ease of cultivation, and growth, this hybrid is ideal for open terrariums, collections, vertical gardens, or decorative displays, making it a very eye-catching option.
