Tillandsia Albida Mini
The Tillandsia Albida Mini is a compact form of the well-known Tillandsia Albida, an elegant air plant belonging to the Bromeliaceae family. This tillandsia stands out for its small size, silvery-gray hue, and high drought resistance, characteristics that make it a highly appreciated option for both collectors and air plant decor.
Native to Mexico, the Tillandsia Albida grows naturally in arid and semi-arid areas, where it develops as an epiphytic plant on rocks, trunks, and tree branches. Thanks to the presence of numerous trichomes on its leaves, it can absorb moisture from the air and reflect solar radiation, allowing it to survive in dry, bright environments.
The Mini form is characterized by its more compact growth and small size, forming a dense rosette of fine, slightly curved leaves with an attractive silver color. This feature makes it ideal for open terrariums, decorative tillandsia arrangements, vertical gardens, or mounts on wood, stone, or cork.
During its flowering season, which usually occurs in spring, it can develop a discreet inflorescence with small tubular flowers in shades of pink or violet, typical of the Tillandsia genus.
Thanks to its adaptation to dry environments, the Tillandsia Albida Mini is a plant very tolerant to drought, provided it has good ventilation and adequate lighting.
