Tillandsia butzii 'Roseiflora'

Tillandsia Butzii ‘Roseiflora’

The Tillandsia Butzii ‘Roseiflora’ is a spectacular selected form of Tillandsia Butzii belonging to the Bromeliaceae family, highly valued for its unusual pink-toned bloom and exotic appearance. It is an air plant ideal for collectors and lovers of rare tillandsias.

The Tillandsia Butzii is native to Mexico and Central America, where it grows naturally as an epiphytic plant in environments with high humidity, good ventilation, and abundant light.

The ‘Roseiflora’ form is distinguished by its pink or pink-violet bloom, rather than the more common violet of the species, making it an especially rare and prized variety.

The Tillandsia Butzii ‘Roseiflora’ maintains the characteristic elongated bulbous base, from which emerge thin, flexible, and slightly twisted leaves, green in color with typical dark or purple spots.

Its growth is moderate, and over time it produces pups, forming small clumps.

During the flowering season, generally in spring or summer, it develops an inflorescence with reddish bracts and pink-toned flowers, creating a very striking and uncommon contrast.

Thanks to its unique flowering and aesthetic, the Tillandsia Butzii ‘Roseiflora’ is ideal for collections, air plant decor, mountings on wood, or special compositions, where it stands out as a singular piece.
