Tillandsia Aeranthos Teddy Bear
The Tillandsia Aeranthos Teddy Bear is an interesting horticultural selection of the Aeranthos group, belonging to the Bromeliaceae family. This variety stands out for its very compact growth and rounded shape, forming small dense clusters that resemble a plant cushion, which gives it a highly decorative appearance.
Although it is related to the Tillandsia Aeranthos, this variety presents a different morphology than the classic form of the species, with shorter leaves, more compact growth, and a tighter structure. For this reason, it is often considered a horticultural selection within the Aeranthos group.
The plant develops dense rosettes of grayish-green, narrow leaves, covered in trichomes that allow it to absorb moisture and nutrients directly from the air. Over time, it produces pups around the mother plant, forming small, highly ornamental clusters.
Unlike other Tillandsias of the Aeranthos group, the Tillandsia Aeranthos Teddy Bear rarely flowers in cultivation, so its main ornamental appeal is its compact shape and dense growth.
Thanks to its small size and compact growth, this variety is ideal for open terrariums, air plant arrangements, vertical gardens, or mounts on wood, cork, or stone, adding texture and volume to any composition.
