Tillandsia Aeranthos Tropic Skye
The Tillandsia Aeranthos Tropic Skye is an attractive ornamental hybrid belonging to the Bromeliaceae family, resulting from the cross between Tillandsia Aeranthos and Tillandsia Gardneri. This hybrid combines the hardiness and ease of cultivation of Aeranthos with the more silvery and robust structure characteristic of Gardneri.
The plant forms open rosettes of firm, grayish-green leaves with abundant trichomes, which allow it to absorb moisture directly from the air. Its balanced appearance and medium size make it a highly appreciated plant for tillandsia collections, open terrariums, vertical gardens, or decorative mounts on wood and cork.
One of the main attractions of this variety is its spectacular flowering. During spring or early summer, it develops highly ornamental pink bracts from which tubular violet flowers emerge, creating a very striking contrast.
Thanks to its genetic heritage, the Tillandsia Aeranthos Tropic Skye is a hardy, adaptable, and vigorous-growing plant, capable of producing offsets and forming decorative clumps over time.
