Tillandsia Aeranthos Wavy Slim
The Tillandsia Aeranthos Wavy Slim is an attractive variety of the well-known Tillandsia Aeranthos, belonging to the Bromeliaceae family. This selection stands out for its narrower and slightly wavy leaves, which give it a more stylized and dynamic appearance compared to the classic form of the species.
The Tillandsia Aeranthos is native to Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay, and Argentina, where it grows naturally as an epiphytic plant on tree branches, trunks, or rocks in areas with good ventilation and abundant light. In its natural habitat, it usually forms dense colonies, as it produces numerous offsets after each flowering.
The Wavy Slim variety forms compact rosettes of thin, slightly wavy, grayish-green leaves, covered in trichomes that allow the plant to absorb moisture directly from the air. Its stylized appearance and balanced growth make it a highly appreciated plant for Tillandsia arrangements, open terrariums, vertical gardens, or decorative displays on wood or cork.
During the flowering season, generally in spring or summer, it develops a pink inflorescence from which deep violet tubular flowers emerge, creating a very attractive contrast with the silvery color of its leaves.
Thanks to its resilience and ease of cultivation, the Tillandsia Aeranthos Wavy Slim is a very adaptable plant that can be grown in both bright interiors and protected outdoor areas.
