Tillandsia Albertiana × Argentina
The Tillandsia Albertiana × Argentina is an attractive ornamental hybrid belonging to the Bromeliaceae family, highly valued for its compact size, great resilience, and striking red blooms. It is an air plant that is ideal for both collectors and beginners.
This hybrid combines two very interesting species from southern South America:
The Tillandsia Albertiana, native to Argentina, stands out for its compact growth, firm leaves, and its characteristic intense red flowering, something rare within the Tillandsia genus.
For its part, the Tillandsia Argentina (form of the aeranthos/bergeri group), distributed throughout Argentina, Uruguay, and Brazil, contributes its great resilience, vigorous growth, and ease of producing offsets, forming clumps rapidly.
Thanks to this genetic combination, the Tillandsia Albertiana × Argentina develops compact rosettes of narrow, rigid, and slightly arched leaves, gray-green in color, with a balanced and highly decorative structure.
Its growth is moderate to fast and it produces offsets easily, forming dense clumps over time.
During the flowering season, generally in spring or summer, it develops intense red tubular flowers, clearly inheriting the most prominent characteristic of Albertiana.
Thanks to its resilience, size, and spectacular flowering, this hybrid is ideal for decorating with air plants, vertical gardens, collections, or mounting on wood and cork, making it a very rewarding choice.
