Tillandsia Argentea

The Tillandsia Argentea is an elegant botanical species belonging to the Bromeliaceae family, highly prized for its small size, fine leaves, and characteristic fragrant flowering. It is an air plant ideal for collectors and for delicate or small-format compositions.

This species is native to Mexico and Cuba, where it grows naturally as an epiphytic plant in environments with high light, good ventilation, and moderate humidity, adapting well to warm conditions.

The Tillandsia Argentea develops small, compact rosettes with very fine, soft, and slightly twisted leaves of a grayish-green color, with the presence of trichomes that give it a light and elegant appearance.

Its growth is slow to moderate and over time it can produce pups, forming small clusters.

During the flowering season, generally in spring or summer, it develops an intense red tubular flower, which is very striking and also fragrant, one of the most outstanding characteristics of this species.

Thanks to its size, flowering, and delicacy, the Tillandsia Argentea is ideal for collections, open terrariums, small compositions, or detailed mounts on wood and cork, where it can be appreciated up close.
