Tillandsia Bergeri × Recurvifolia subsecundifolia
The Tillandsia Bergeri × Recurvifolia subsecundifolia is an interesting ornamental hybrid belonging to the Bromeliaceae family, highly valued for its great resistance, fast growth, and ability to form dense clusters. It is an air plant ideal for both beginners and collectors.
This hybrid combines two highly adapted species:
Tillandsia Bergeri, native to Argentina, Uruguay, and Brazil, provides its vigorous growth, high cold resistance, and ease of producing offsets, quickly forming dense colonies.
For its part, Tillandsia Recurvifolia subsecundifolia, native to South America, contributes its more compact structure, somewhat shorter and denser leaves, and greater tolerance to variable conditions, giving the hybrid a tighter shape.
Thanks to this genetic combination, the Tillandsia Bergeri × Recurvifolia subsecundifolia develops compact rosettes with narrow, firm, and slightly recurved leaves, which are grayish-green with a good presence of trichomes.
Its growth is rapid and it produces numerous offsets, forming dense and highly decorative clusters in a short time.
During the flowering season, generally in spring or summer, it develops an inflorescence with pink or reddish bracts and violet tubular flowers, inheriting characteristics from both parents.
Thanks to its resistance, growth, and ease of care, this hybrid is ideal for air plant decoration, vertical gardens, collections, or mounting on wood and cork, making it a very reliable option.
