Tillandsia Cacticola

The Tillandsia Cacticola is an impressive botanical species belonging to the Bromeliaceae family, highly valued for its elegant bearing, soft leaves, and one of the most striking blooms in the genus. It is an air plant ideal for collectors and lovers of tillandsias with prominent flowering.

This species is native to Peru, where it grows naturally as an epiphytic or saxicolous plant in arid, medium-altitude areas with high luminosity, good ventilation, and low ambient humidity.

The Tillandsia Cacticola develops open rosettes of long, wide, soft leaves, ranging from light green to grayish-green, with a texture that is more flexible than other xerophytic tillandsias.

Its growth is moderate, and over time it can produce pups, forming elegant clusters.

During the flowering season, generally in spring or summer, it develops a spectacular inflorescence with pink or reddish bracts and large tubular flowers in shades of violet or lavender, one of the largest and most showy in the Tillandsia genus.

Thanks to its bearing and flowering, the Tillandsia Cacticola is ideal for collections, air plant decoration, wood mounts, or compositions where a floral focal point is desired.
