Tillandsia Capillaris Incana Type 3

The Tillandsia Capillaris Incana Type 3 is an interesting form of Tillandsia Capillaris belonging to the Bromeliaceae family, highly prized for its fine texture, silvery coloration, and excellent resistance to dry conditions. It is an ideal air plant for collectors and light natural arrangements.

Tillandsia Capillaris is native to South America (Argentina, Bolivia, and Chile), where it grows in arid and high-altitude zones as an epiphytic or saxicolous plant, adapted to high light, low humidity, and great ventilation.

The Incana form is characterized by a higher density of trichomes, which gives it a more whitish or silvery appearance compared to other forms.

The Type 3 stands out for its balance between density and openness, featuring fine leaves that are slightly more structured than those of the softer types, creating a plant that is compact yet airy.

The Tillandsia Capillaris Incana Type 3 develops small rosettes with very fine, soft leaves covered in trichomes, which are silvery-gray in color, eventually forming light and highly decorative clusters.

Its growth is slow to moderate, and it produces offsets, expanding into small groupings.

During the flowering season, generally in spring or summer, it develops small tubular flowers in shades of violet; they are subtle but elegant.

Thanks to its resilience, texture, and coloration, this form is ideal for collections, mounting on stone or wood, minimalist decor, or natural compositions, where it adds visual lightness.
