Tillandsia Capitata Peach
The Tillandsia Capitata Peach is an attractive air plant belonging to the Bromeliaceae family, highly valued for its elegant shape and the striking peach or pink tones that can appear on its leaves when it receives good lighting or during its flowering stage. This variety is part of the Tillandsia Capitata species, one of the most popular tillandsias for its hardiness and great ornamental value.
The Tillandsia Capitata is native to Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Cuba, and the Dominican Republic, where it grows naturally as an epiphytic plant on tree trunks, branches, and rocks in warm areas with good ventilation. In its natural habitat, it lives without the need for soil, absorbing moisture and nutrients directly from the air thanks to the trichomes present on its leaves.
The Peach variety stands out for its open rosette of wide, soft leaves, which can acquire peach, pink, or slightly orange tones, especially when the plant receives good light or approaches its flowering phase. This characteristic coloration makes it a highly appreciated plant for natural decoration, open terrariums, vertical gardens, or arrangements with other air plants.
During the flowering season, usually in spring or summer, it produces a central inflorescence from which violet or purple tubular flowers emerge, creating an attractive contrast with the warm hues of its leaves.
Thanks to its resilience and ease of cultivation, the Tillandsia Capitata Peach is an excellent choice for both collectors and hobbyists who want to start growing tillandsias.
