The Tillandsia Capitata is native to Mexico, Cuba, and Central America, where it grows as an epiphytic plant in environments with high light, good ventilation, and a warm climate with moderate humidity.
The ‘Red Star’ form is characterized by its ability to develop very intense red tones throughout the rosette, especially with good lighting or during the pre-flowering phase.
The Tillandsia Capitata ‘Red Star’ develops compact rosettes of broad, soft, and slightly curved leaves, ranging from grayish-green to very vivid, uniform reds, creating a highly decorative effect.
Its growth is moderate, and over time it produces pups, forming small clusters.
