Tillandsia Carminea × Holm’s Twin Star

The Tillandsia Carminea × Holm’s Twin Star is an interesting ornamental hybrid belonging to the Bromeliaceae family, created in Germany, and highly valued for its compact size, good coloration, and ease of cultivation. It is an ideal air plant for collectors and decorative arrangements.

This hybrid combines two highly appreciated plants:

Tillandsia Carminea, native to Brazil, contributes its compact habit, firm leaves, and ability to acquire reddish or pinkish tones, especially in good light conditions or during flowering.

For its part, Holm’s Twin Star is a cultivated hybrid (Tenuifolia Vaginata x Tenuifolia Emerald Forest) known for its balanced growth, ease of propagation, and good response to light, contributing vigor and stability to the whole.

Thanks to this genetic combination, the Tillandsia Carminea × Holm’s Twin Star develops compact rosettes of narrow to medium-sized, firm, and slightly arched leaves, gray-green in color, which can transform into reddish or orange tones under suitable conditions.

Its growth is moderate to fast, and it produces offsets easily, forming decorative clusters over time.

During the flowering season, it develops an inflorescence, during which its leaves change color to burgundy and dark reddish tones with colorful bracts.

Thanks to its size, coloration, and resistance, this hybrid is ideal for collections, interior decoration in bright spaces, mounting on wood, or arrangements with compact tillandsias, making it very versatile.
