Tillandsia Curly Slim
The Tillandsia Curly Slim is an attractive ornamental hybrid belonging to the Bromeliaceae family, highly valued for its curly leaves, elegant posture, and great resilience. It is an air plant ideal for both collectors and modern decor.
This hybrid comes from a cross between Tillandsia Intermedia and Tillandsia Streptophylla, combining the best of both species.
Tillandsia Intermedia, native to Mexico and Central America, contributes its clumping growth habit, ease of reproduction, and more elongated structure, forming colonies over time.
For its part, Tillandsia Streptophylla, also native to Mexico and Central America, is known for its curly leaves and ability to adapt to changes in humidity, curling more in dry conditions and opening up in higher humidity.
Thanks to this genetic combination, the Tillandsia Curly Slim develops elongated rosettes with narrow, curly leaves, creating a plant with a dynamic, elegant, and highly decorative appearance.
Its growth is moderate and it produces pups easily, forming hanging clusters over time.
During the flowering season, generally in spring or summer, it can develop an inflorescence with pink tones and violet flowers, inheriting characteristics from both parent species.
Thanks to its unique shape and hardiness, the Tillandsia Curly Slim is ideal for air plant decor, modern arrangements, vertical gardens, or mounting on wood and cork, especially in bright spaces.
