Tillandsia Exserta × Fasciculata

The Tillandsia Exserta × Fasciculata is an attractive ornamental hybrid belonging to the Bromeliaceae family, highly valued for its robust stature, vigorous growth, and great resilience. It is an air plant ideal for both collectors and those looking for larger specimens that are easy to cultivate.

This hybrid combines two very resilient species:

Tillandsia Exserta, native to Mexico and Central America, contributes its adaptability, rapid growth, and narrow, firm leaves, making it easier to grow under various conditions.

For its part, Tillandsia Fasciculata, widely distributed across Central America and the Caribbean, is known for its larger size, long and wide leaves, and spectacular inflorescences, adding volume and presence to the hybrid.

Thanks to this genetic combination, Tillandsia Exserta × Fasciculata develops large, open rosettes with long, firm, and slightly arched leaves, ranging from green to grayish-green.

Its growth is moderate to rapid and it pups easily, forming large clumps over time.

During the flowering season, generally in spring or summer, it develops a showy inflorescence with reddish or orange bracts and tubular violet flowers, inheriting the ornamental character of Fasciculata.

Thanks to its size, resilience, and aesthetics, this hybrid is ideal for decorating with air plants, vertical gardens, collections, or mounted on wood and structures, where it can stand out.
