Tillandsia Filifolia
The Tillandsia Filifolia is an elegant botanical species belonging to the Bromeliaceae family, highly valued for its extremely fine leaves and its light, ethereal appearance. It is an air plant ideal for collectors and delicate arrangements.
This species is native to Mexico and Central America, reaching altitudes of 2000 meters above sea level, where it grows naturally as an epiphytic plant in humid forest environments with good ventilation and filtered light, adapting to moderate to high humidity conditions.
The Tillandsia Filifolia develops open rosettes with very fine, thread-like and flexible leaves of a light green color, creating a soft and elegant silhouette that resembles a plant cloud.
Its growth is moderate, and over time it produces pups, forming light and decorative clusters.
During the flowering season, generally in spring or summer, it generates a long floral stem from its center, which sometimes reaches up to 30 cm in height, from which multiple bracts emerge that produce a generous quantity of tiny but beautiful purple and mauve-toned flowers.
Thanks to its texture and aesthetics, the Tillandsia Filifolia is ideal for decorating with air plants, open terrariums, light arrangements, or mounts on wood and cork, where it can be admired up close.
