Acerca del producto

Tillandsia Holm´s Quartzite The Tillandsia Holm´s Quartzite is an ornamental hybrid created in Germany, highly valued for its elegant bearing, its balanced structure, ...

IRRIGATION

It requires moderate watering. Misting 1–2 times per week is recommended, adjusting according to temperature and ambient humidity, and always allowing for proper drying afterward. This regimen is a prudent cultivation inference, as I have not found a specific primary data sheet with exact values for this hybrid.

LIGHTING

It prefers very bright light and can tolerate soft or filtered sun, especially with good ventilation. This point is a cultivation synthesis based on the expected behavior of its parents.

Humidity

• Minimum: 40%
• Optimum: 50% – 70%
• Maximum: 80%

TEMPERATURE

• Minimum: Can tolerate around 8 °C if kept completely dry
• Recommended: Between 12 °C and 30 °C
• Maximum: Up to 35 °C with good ventilation

Tillandsia Holm´s Quartzite

The Tillandsia Holm´s Quartzite is an ornamental hybrid created in Germany, highly valued for its elegant bearing, its balanced structure, and its combination of traits inherited from Tillandsia Holm’s Rose Quartz and Tillandsia seideliana. In turn, Holm’s Rose Quartz comes from the cross between Tillandsia bella and Tillandsia stricta, making the genetics of this hybrid especially interesting for collectors.

This hybrid presents an ornamental and well-defined silhouette, with a structure that foreseeably combines the elegance of stricta hybrids with the fineness and lightness provided by seideliana. I have not found a detailed botanical record that describes the complete morphology of this specific hybrid with millimetric precision, so this part should be understood as a reasonable botanical inference based on its confirmed parents.

In cultivation, it stands out for its great decorative value, its relative rarity, and its interest among hybrids developed in Germany. Due to its genetic composition and the way it is marketed, it fits especially well in collections, decorative mounts, and compositions with other medium-sized tillandsias. The latter is also a reasonable cultivation inference, not a primary botanical description published for this specific plant.

Its growth can be considered moderate, maintaining a very attractive ornamental shape over time. As it is a complex hybrid, it may show some variability between specimens depending on cultivation, age, and origin.

Thanks to its balance between ornamental value, select hybrid origin, and good visual presence, the Tillandsia Holm´s Quartzite is ideal for collectors, air plant decoration, and cultivation in spaces with plenty of light and good ventilation. This recommendation is based on its confirmed parents and its specialized commercialization.
