Tillandsia Holm´s Rosemary
The Tillandsia Holm´s Rosemary is an ornamental hybrid created in Germany, highly prized for its compact shape, its elegant rosette habit, and its intense pre-flowering coloration. It is a cross between Tillandsia Stricta Grün and Tillandsia Stricta Piniformi, two forms of stricta that provide structure, resilience, and a very balanced aesthetic.
This hybrid develops a compact and well-defined rosette, with rigid, thin, and slightly channeled leaves, somewhat wider at the base. Its silhouette is clean and ornamental, very suitable for those looking for a tillandsia of contained size but with visual presence.
In cultivation, it stands out for its great decorative value, its good adaptability, and its ability to display a very attractive coloration before blooming. During the pre-flowering process, the plant acquires a very striking red tone, one of the most distinctive features of this hybrid.
Its growth is moderate and it maintains an orderly habit, which makes it an excellent choice both for collectors and for decorative mountings on cork, wood, or natural supports.
During flowering, it develops a floral spike with pink bracts, from which lavender-colored flowers emerge. The combination of the plant's prior reddening and the pink-lavender flowering gives it a particularly striking appearance.
Thanks to its size, coloration, and ease of integration into compositions, the Tillandsia Holm´s Rosemary is ideal for air plant decoration, collections, and cultivation in spaces with plenty of light and good ventilation.
