Tillandsia Hondurensis
The Tillandsia Hondurensis is a botanical species native to Honduras, highly prized for its robust habit, its silvery coloration, and its great ornamental value. It is a plant with a strong and very decorative appearance, ideal for collectors and for those looking for a tillandsia with presence and personality.
It lives at altitudes of up to 2,000 meters above sea level, growing on rocks and cliffs. This origin explains its good adaptation to environments with plenty of light, good ventilation, and rapid drying after watering.
It features hard and strong leaves, silver in color thanks to an abundance of trichomes, which gives it a very luminous and characteristic appearance. It is a very fast-growing species, sometimes capable of reaching 30 cm in height.
It forms clusters easily and develops a compact and ornamental structure, making it a very interesting plant for mounting on rock or wood, collections, and spaces with plenty of light.
During flowering, it produces a very dense floral spike, which can sometimes increase the size of the plant by 15 cm, creating 4 to 5 tubular purple flowers, so characteristic of tillandsias.
Thanks to its resistance, fast growth, and silvery appearance, the Tillandsia Hondurensis is an excellent option for those looking for a decorative, striking air plant that is easy to integrate into natural compositions.
