Tillandsia Ionantha Druid
The Tillandsia Ionantha Druid is a unique variety of Tillandsia Ionantha belonging to the Bromeliaceae family, highly prized for its unusual light-toned flowering and luminous aesthetic. It is an air plant ideal for collectors and lovers of special varieties.
The Tillandsia Ionantha is native to Mexico, Central America, and part of South America, where it grows naturally as an epiphytic plant in environments with high luminosity, good ventilation, and a dry or moderately humid climate.
The Druid variety is clearly distinguished from other ionanthas by its absence of intense red pigmentation. Instead of turning red before blooming, the plant takes on lighter, yellowish, or soft orange tones, creating a much more luminous and delicate appearance.
During the flowering season, generally in spring or summer, it develops tubular white or pale yellow flowers, rather than the typical violet of other ionanthas, which makes it a very special and sought-after variety.
It forms compact rosettes of narrow leaves, with moderate growth and the production of pups, forming clusters over time.
Thanks to its distinct appearance and ease of cultivation, the Tillandsia Ionantha Druid is ideal for collections, open terrariums, vertical gardens, or decorative compositions, providing a contrast to other tillandsias.
