Tillandsia Latifolia Enano Type 2
The Tillandsia Latifolia Enano Type 2 is a dwarf-sized form of the Tillandsia latifolia species, native to Peru, highly valued for its compact habit and its great ornamental capacity. The term "Enano" (Dwarf) refers to its smaller growth, ideal for limited spaces, collections, or detailed compositions.
It presents a compact and well-defined rosette, formed by leaves that are broad, rigid, and shorter than those of the standard form. Its color varies between light green and slightly silvery green, with the presence of trichomes that give it a soft and slightly frosted appearance, which is very characteristic of this species.
Its growth is moderate and it tends to form dense clusters through the production of pups, resulting in small, highly decorative clumps. This quality makes it an ideal plant for mounting on wood, cork, or stone, as well as for compositions with other small-sized Tillandsias.
During flowering, it develops a proportioned and ornamental inflorescence, in which its intense red flowers stand out, creating a warm and very attractive contrast with the foliage. Despite its compact size, its flowering is especially showy.
Thanks to its small size, its hardiness, and its ease of cultivation, the Tillandsia Latifolia Enano Type 2 is an excellent choice for both beginners and collectors looking for a small, elegant, and versatile air plant.
