Tillandsia Nana
The Tillandsia Nana is a species of epiphytic air plant native to southern Peru and Bolivia, where it grows naturally on the bark of large trees or on stones in rocky high-mountain areas. It is a tillandsia highly valued for its elegant posture, its helical silhouette, and its great ornamental value.
It is a medium-sized plant that can sometimes reach up to 30 cm in length. It features flexible, triangular-shaped leaves, which are generally channeled and arranged in a helical shape, a feature that gives it much movement and a very decorative appearance.
The entire surface of its leaves is covered in scales or trichomes, responsible for that soft and slightly silvery finish that is so characteristic. This combination of triangular leaves, scaly texture, and helical arrangement gives it a very distinct personality within the genus.
During flowering, it develops a very attractive inflorescence in which the floral stem bracts and the primary bracts are very similar to the leaves. The flowering culminates in beautiful non-tubular flowers that can appear in pink, reddish, or purple shades, creating an especially showy and elegant ensemble.
Thanks to its medium size, its flexible and triangular leaves, its helical arrangement, and its delicate flowering in intense shades, the Tillandsia Nana is an excellent choice for those looking for a refined, original air plant with a lot of charm.
