Tillandsia Pruinosa Silver

Tillandsia Pruinosa Silver

The Tillandsia Pruinosa Silver is a variety of Pruinosa highly prized for its elegant bearing, streamlined silhouette, and luminous finish. It is a tillandsia native to Colombia that stands out for its more slender appearance and its particularly decorative presence.

This variety excels due to its larger size, with some specimens reaching up to 16 cm in height, and for displaying a lighter green color than the standard Pruinosa. Its leaves are elongated, thin, and gently curved, with abundant trichomes that provide silvery highlights and a very attractive frosted appearance.

One of its most characteristic features is its bulbous base, from which the leaves emerge, creating a compact shape at the bottom and a more open one at the top. Due to the bulb that forms its base, it presents a very defined and ornamental silhouette.

During flowering, it develops a flower spike with pink bracts, from which emerge long tubular flowers in a purple or violet tone, creating a very striking contrast with its silvery and light green foliage.

It is an ideal plant for those looking for a tillandsia with a bulbous base, larger size, and a refined aesthetic, perfect for both collection and aerial decoration.
