Tillandsia Tenuifolia x Stricta Hart
The Tillandsia Tenuifolia x Stricta Hart is an ornamental hybrid of great decorative value, which combines the compact structure and clumping ability of Tillandsia tenuifolia with the intense flowering and elegant posture of Tillandsia stricta, resulting in a balanced, resilient, and very attractive plant.
It develops compact rosettes with fine leaves, slightly wider and softer than in tenuifolia, of an intense green color, which can acquire slight reddish or violet hues depending on light exposure. Its structure is more open than tenuifolia, but it maintains an orderly and highly ornamental appearance.
It is characterized by its good ability to produce pups, forming dense clumps over time, which increases its volume and visual appeal. This behavior makes it a very interesting plant both as an individual specimen and in clusters.
It is a resilient and adaptable tillandsia that develops well in conditions of good light and ventilation. It inherits good tolerance from both species, which facilitates its cultivation in various environments.
During flowering, it produces a very striking inflorescence, with reddish bracts, from which tubular flowers in violet or purple tones emerge, providing a vibrant contrast with the green foliage.
Due to its balance between resilience, attractive flowering, and the ability to form groups, the Tillandsia Tenuifolia x Stricta Hart is an excellent option for both beginners and collectors looking for versatile and decorative hybrids.
