The Tillandsia Tomaselli XL is a spectacular ornamental hybrid belonging to the Bromeliaceae family, highly valued for its large size, resilience, and silvery aesthetic. This is a larger version of this well-known hybrid, ideal for those seeking an air plant with presence and volume.

The Tillandsia ‘Tomaselli’ is a classic hybrid resulting from a cross between Tillandsia Xerographica and Tillandsia Recurvifolia. This combination brings together the best of both species: on one hand, the elegant stature, wide leaves, and sculptural structure of the Xerographica, and on the other, the resilience, trichome density, and adaptation to dry conditions of the Recurvifolia.

The XL form stands out for its greater size and development, forming wide rosettes of silvery-grey curved leaves, with a dense texture that reflects its adaptation to dry and bright environments. Its growth is slow but steady, and over time it can produce pups, forming decorative clumps.

During the flowering season, generally in spring or summer, it can develop a central inflorescence with pink or reddish tones and violet tubular flowers, inheriting characteristics from both parent species.

Thanks to its resilience, low maintenance, and high decorative value, the Tillandsia Tomaselli XL is ideal for decorating with air plants, bright spaces, vertical gardens, or mounting on wood and decorative structures, making it a centerpiece in any collection.
