Tillandsia Vicentina Giant XL
The Tillandsia Vicentina Giant XL is a large-sized form of this botanical species native to Central America, distributed from southern Mexico to Nicaragua, and originally described in San Vicente, El Salvador, from where it takes its name.
It stands out for its large stature and superior development, forming wide, open rosettes with long, narrow, and arching leaves, with a firm texture covered in fine trichomes, which give it greenish-gray tones with silvery nuances. In this Giant XL version, its size is notably larger, making it a statement piece.
In its natural habitat, it grows as an epiphyte in mountain forests, between approximately 1400 and 2700 meters in altitude, which explains its preference for cool, bright environments with excellent ventilation.
Its growth is moderate, and over time it can produce pups, forming large-volume clusters. Its size and structure make it ideal for large arrangements or spaces where a highly present Tillandsia is sought.
During flowering, it develops a long, branched inflorescence, very characteristic of the species, with pink-toned bracts, from which violet or purple tubular flowers emerge, creating a very elegant contrast with the foliage.
Because of its XL size, mountain origin, and spectacular branched flowering, the Tillandsia Vicentina Giant XL is an ideal choice for collectors and those looking for an impressive and unique botanical Tillandsia.
