Tillandsia Vicentina x Fasciculata
The Tillandsia Vicentina x Fasciculata is an attractive and robust ornamental hybrid that combines features of Tillandsia vicentina and Tillandsia fasciculata, resulting in a large-sized, open-habit air plant with vigorous growth. It is especially valued for its architectural structure, high resistance in cultivation, and great decorative value, making it ideal for collectors, natural decoration, and spacious areas.
This hybrid presents an intermediate morphology between both parent species, with long, arched, and relatively wide leaves, covered in trichomes, which give it a characteristic grayish-green tone. Its structure is more open than compact, forming large, elegant, and highly ornamental rosettes.
In cultivation, it stands out for its great adaptability, ease of care, and good tolerance to different environmental conditions, making it an excellent option for both beginners and advanced collectors within the Tillandsia genus.
Its growth is moderate to vigorous and, over time, it can develop into large-volume specimens. After flowering, it produces pups easily, ensuring the continuity and expansion of the plant, although less densely than in more compact species.
During the flowering season, generally in spring or summer, it develops a striking inflorescence with reddish or orange bracts and violet tubular flowers, inheriting the showiness characteristic of Tillandsia fasciculata.
Thanks to its size, resistance, and ornamental value, the Tillandsia Vicentina x Fasciculata is ideal for large decorative arrangements, air plant compositions, specialized collections, or cultivation in protected outdoor areas with good ventilation.
