Dwarf Tillandsia Xiphioides
The Dwarf Tillandsia Xiphioides is a small-sized variety of Tillandsia Xiphioides, belonging to the Bromeliaceae family, highly prized for its fragrant white flowers and its compact format, which is ideal for collections and small spaces.
The Tillandsia Xiphioides is native to Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay, where it grows naturally as an epiphytic or saxicolous plant in areas with a dry climate, good ventilation, and high brightness. This dwarf variety maintains the main characteristics of the species but with a more contained size and more compact growth.
The Dwarf Tillandsia Xiphioides develops small rosettes of elongated, soft, grayish-green leaves, covered by trichomes that allow it to absorb moisture from the environment. Its appearance is more delicate than other xerophytic tillandsias, but it is equally resistant if cultivated correctly.
One of its greatest attractions is its flowering, which usually occurs in spring or summer, producing large white flowers with a pleasant scent, a highly valued characteristic within the Tillandsia genus.
Thanks to its compact size and aromatic flowering, it is ideal for decoration with air plants, open terrariums, specialized collections, or mounting on wood and cork.
